Tungsten Fabric (http://www.tungsten.io; formerly OpenContrail) is an open source, scalable and multi-cloud networking platform. Large enterprises and service providers are using it at massive production scale, and this meetup offers some tips, insights, and "don't go theres" from users with success stories (and some battle scars).
Tungsten Fabric provides a single point of control, observability and analytics for networking and security. It is integrated with many cloud technology stacks, including Kubernetes, Mesos, VMware and OpenStack. It also supports public cloud deployments including AWS and Google. Tungsten Fabric includes a high performance vRouter that connects container, VM and bare-metal applications, and a controller which orchestrates network overlays, switch fabrics and router gateways.
Come to this meetup to learn how users are deploying Tungsten Fabric for load balancing, HA, service chaining and analytics/orchestration.
Qasim Arham will be our speaker. Qasim Arham will deliver a project overview, showcase users and use cases, then dive into a demo showcasing Tungsten Fabric integration for Kubernetes clusters as well nested environments (K8s on OpenStack, K8s + OpenStack + bare metal), as well as Tungsten Fabric’s containerized control plane.
As both Enterprise and Telco IT architectures evolve, supporting multi-cloud environments is table stakes. This meetup will lay out how Tungsten Fabric’s software-driven networking and policy management can be leveraged in a multi-cloud environment. If you’re interested in networking for private clouds running OpenStack, Kubernetes, Mesos, and VMware that also rely on services from AWS or Google, this meetup is for you!
